There was a time when we played hide and seek in the streets and from the balconies, adults who we did not know, but who knew us, advised the perfect hideaway. We were sure that they wouldn't tell the other team where we were hidden.
There was a time when, from the bathroom window we communicated through gestures with the bestfriend who lived across the street.
There was a time when we went to the nearby shop to buy things and we could say:"Mom will come later!" (to pay)
There was a time when on the telly, all the afternoon was for us!
And in the italian restaurant you could order "cream and ham" tortellini.
Now all this kind of things make me laugh, those games, those cartoons and those tortellini, it is a world that no longer exists, except in our memories.
It's up to us rediscover those memories now, so here is a dish from the 80s that when I was on my way home from school I used to dream about.
- 160 gr. of spaghetti golden die
- crushed chilli
- 1 clove of garlic
- extra virgin olive oil
- a handful fresh parsley
- sea salt
- 6 surimi sticks
- 1\2 jar of sauce of cherry tomato
- 10 semy dried cherry tomatoes
- 1 table spoon of cream with salmon
Meanwhile in a sauce pan put some oil to warm up with crushed garlic, chilly and chopped fresh parsley, just for a couple of minutes, the time they need to release their aromas.
Now add the passata and the surimi sticks cutted in slices, add a sprinkle of salt.
When the spaghetti are cooked, drop them into a pan with a nice ladle of cooking water and add straight away a good table spoon of cream and 10 semi dried cherry tomatoes.
Stir for a minute as long as it forms a creamy sauce.

- 160 gr. di spaghetti trafilati in oro
- 1 spicchio d'aglio
- olio di oliva
- una manciata di prezzemolo fresco
- 6 bastoncini di surimi
- salsa di pomodorino ciliegia
- qualche pomodorino ciliegino semi secco
- 1 cucchiaio di crema al salmone
